Hear Music by Bach and More During This Moving Chamber Concert
The Emory Chamber Music Society of Atlanta is one of the treasures of our city. On this very special evening, Atlanta Master Chorale and ECMSA will combine forces to perform choral music not often heard – music for choir and a small group of solo players. Be there when these two musical groups unify this Saturday, January 19th, at Schwartz Center for Performing Arts.
Led by pianist and Artistic Director William Ransom, this event brings together Atlanta's finest instrumentalists, including the extraordinary Vega String Quartet. Among the works performed will be selections from Bach Cantatas 9 and 147, Brahms Liebeslieder Waltzes, Whitacre Five Hebrew Love Songs, and the Rutter Requiem.
Now in its fourth decade, Atlanta Master Chorale has crafted one of America’s finest choral sounds, bringing singers and audiences to the place where music touches spirit. The mission of the Atlanta Master Chorale is to inspire and enrich the lives of our community through the performance of inspirational choral music, to sing at the highest level of choral artistry, and to be a standard of excellence among performing arts organizations.
Listen as some of Atlanta’s finest voices come together for one very special evening. Tickets to this event are now available for purchase and are 35 dollars. For more information, visit www.arts.emory.edu.
